Friday Freaky Fatwa--Have a Grave Halloween!

A Muslim asks a scholar

The custom in our country is to put a stone, concrete or a peg at the head and foot of the grave, or sometimes just at the head. What is the Islamic ruling on that?
And the scholar replies
Praise be to Allah.
Islam forbids erecting structures over graves, and commands that any such structures should be knocked down. But it is permitted to put a marker on the grave so that the family and friends of the deceased will know where it is. However, this marker should not be a structure or anything else that is not allowed in sharia.
And Allah knows best
Islam…the belief/submission to one God, does not forbid erecting structures over graves.  Shirks forbid that, not God.  hadith IS shirk.

A Muslim asks a scholar
What are the types of punishments in the grave and for the people
Praise be to Allah.

And the scholar replies
The torment in the grave will vary according to the sins committed by the person in this world, whether he was a kaafir or a disobedient Muslim. There are solid Hadith which describe this torment for the people who commit these sins. For example:
WARNING!  THE FOLLOWING ARE NOT FROM THE QURAN AND BELIEVING THEM COULD CAUSE THEM TO HAPPEN TO YOU!!  FOR SAFTEY REASONS WE SUGGEST THAT YOU READ THEM WITH ONLY ONE EYEBALL!!

Being struck with an iron hammer
And how do we know this is true?  Because of the Hadith of hell

Bukhari says that the Prophet said: “When a person is placed in his grave and his companions leave him, two angels come to him and make him sit up, and they ask him,
‘What did you say about this man Muhammad?’
He says, ‘I bear witness that he is the slave of Allah and His Messenger.’ It is said, ‘Look at your place in Hell which Allah has replaced for you with a place in Paradise.’”
But as for the kaafir or hypocrite, he says, ‘I do not know, I used to say what the people said.’ It is said, ‘You did not know and you did not follow those who knew.’
Then he is struck a blow with an iron hammer between his ears and he screams a scream which everything around him can hear apart from the two races of mankind and the jinn.”
And those who follow Hadith deserve a blow between the ears.

Dawood narrated another Hadith that Aazib said: “When the disbelieving slave is about to depart this world and enter the Hereafter, there come down to him from heaven angels with black faces, bringing sackcloth, and they sit around him as far as the eye can see.
Then his soul disperses inside his body, and then comes out cutting the veins and nerves, like a skewer passing through wet wool.
When he seizes it, they do not leave it in his hand for an instant before they take it and put it in that sackcloth, and there comes from it a stench like the foulest stench of a dead body on the face of the earth.
Then this verse was revealed
7:40 “for them the gates of heaven will not be opened, and they will not enter Paradise until the camel goes through the eye of the needle”
Does that passage sound familiar to my Christian friends?

Then the Messenger recited the verse:

22:31 “and whoever assigns partners to Allah, it is as if he had fallen from the sky, and the birds had snatched him, or the wind had thrown him to a far off place”
Buky and his friends have been partners to Allah.

He said: “‘Prepare for him a bed from Hell and clothe him from Hell, and open for him a gate to Hell.’
Then there comes to him some of its heat and hot winds, and his grave is constricted and compresses him until his ribs interlock. Then there comes to him a man with an ugly face and ugly clothes, and a foul stench, who says, ‘Receive the bad news, this is the day that you were promised.’
He says, ‘Who are you? Your face is a face which forebodes evil.’  ‘I am your evil deeds.’
This Hadith was classed as reliable by Shaykh al-Albaani in Ahkaam al-Janaa’iz,
who are now being hit with iron hammers…

Being swallowed up by the earth.

Bukhari says; It was narrated from Ibn ‘Umar that the Prophet said: “Whilst a man was dragging his lower garment out of pride, the earth swallowed him up and he will continue sinking into the earth until the Day of Resurrection.”
It seems that only happened to one man.  Buky also includes all of the following;

The edge of the mouth being torn to the back of the head

The head being smashed with a rock

Being burned in an tannoor oven (an oven used to bake bread)

Swimming in a river of blood whilst being pelted with stones.

And the Hadith to explain these horror stories….

One morning the Messenger said, “Last night, two people came to me in a dream, and woke me up and said, ‘Let’s go!’ I set out with them, and we came across a man who was lying down, with another man standing over him, holding a big rock.

He threw the rock at the man's head, smashing it. The rock rolled away, and the one who had thrown it followed it, and picked it up. By the time he came back to the man, his head had been restored to its former state. Then he (the one who had thrown the rock) did the same as he had done before. I said to my two companions, ‘Who are these two persons?’ They said, ‘Move on!’

So we went on, and came to a man who was lying flat on his back, with another man standing over him, holding an iron hook. He put the hook in the man's mouth and tore off that side of his face to the back (of his neck), and he tore his nose and his eye from front to back in a similar manner. Then he turned to the other side of the man's face and did likewise. No sooner had he finished the second side but the first side was restored to its former state, then he went back and did the same thing again. I said to my two companions, ‘Who are these two persons?’ They said, ‘Move on!’

So we went on, and came to something like a tannoor (a kind of oven, lined with clay, usually used for baking bread). – I think the Prophet said, in that oven there was much noise and voices. We looked into it and saw naked men and women. A flame of fire was reaching them from underneath, and when it reached them, they cried out loudly. I asked them, ‘Who are these?’ They said to me, ‘Move on!’

So we went on and came to a river – I think he said, red like blood. – In the river there was a man swimming, and on the bank there was a man who had gathered many stones. Whilst the swimmer was swimming, the man who had gathered the stones approached him. The swimmer opened his mouth and the man on the bank threw a stone into it, then the swimmer carried on swimming. Each time he came back, he opened his mouth again, and the man on the bank threw another stone into his mouth. I said to my two companions, ‘Who are these two persons?’ They said, ‘Move on’!

I said to them, I have seen many wonders this night. What do all these things mean that I have seen?’ They said: ‘We will tell you.

The first man you came across, whose head was being smashed with the rock is the man who goes to sleep, neglecting the obligatory prayers, who studies the Quran then he neither recites it nor acts upon it.
Ah, like those who quote and follow Hadith!  Scary stuff!

Like the lame hadith, this is a lame video.  OOOO...the scary rocking chair....it rocks all by itself....sure.

well, it is Halloween...

The man you came across whose mouth, nose and ears were being torn from front to back, is the man who goes out of his house in the morning and tells a lie that is so serious that it spreads all over the world.
Ah, like those who quote Hadith as if it was sacred!  Horrifying!!

The naked men and women whom you saw in a structure that resembled an oven are the adulterers and adulteresses and the man you saw swimming in the river with rocks being thrown into his mouth is the one who consumed riba (usury).”
Al-Haafiz ibn Hajar said: This indicates that some sinners will be punished in the interval between death and the Day of Resurrection.
I believe all of those things should happen to those who follow, quote and teach Hadith.  Why do I feel so strongly about this?  Because Hadith is the foundation for Sharia, and the Sharia that we see is the main reason that the words ‘Muslim and Islam’ are now seen as dirty words.

Not taking care to avoid getting urine on oneself, and spreading malicious gossip among people

It was narrated that Ibn ‘Abbaas said: The Messenger passed by two graves and said, “They are being punished, but they are not being punished for something that was difficult to avoid. One of them used to walk about spreading malicious gossip and the other used not to take care to avoid getting urine on himself.  Most of the torment of the grave is because of urine, so be careful to avoid it.” Sometimes I wonder if Buky and his friends actually read the Quran.

More scary stories

Ahmad narrated that Abu Sa’eed al-Khudri said: I attended a funeral with the Messenger who said: “O people, this ummah (community) will be tested in their graves. When a man is buried and his friends leave him, an angel with a hammer in his hand comes and sits by him and asks, ‘What do you say about this man?’ If he is a believer, he says, ‘I bear witness that there is only one God and that Muhammad is His Messenger.’ He says, ‘You have spoken the truth.’ Then a door to Hell is opened for him and he says, ‘This would have been your place if you had disbelieved in your Lord, but because you believed, this is your place.’
This Hadith says that ‘this’ community will be tested in their graves.  Does that mean the community of the 7th century desert Arabs, or, does it mean that only Muslims will be tested in their grave?  The latter would indicate that Allah doesn’t like Muslims.

But if he is an unbeliever or a hypocrite, the angel says to him, ‘What do you say about this man?’ He says, ‘I do not know, I heard the people saying something.’ The angel says, ‘You did not know and you did not follow those who knew and you were not guided.’
Then a door to Paradise is opened for him and he says, ‘This would have been your position if you had believed in your Lord. But because you disbelieved, Allah has replaced it for you with this.’ Then a gate to Hell is opened for him, and he strikes him a blow with the hammer which is heard by all of Allah’s creation apart from the two races (of mankind and the jinn).”
The poor guy answered truthfully.  He heard the people saying ‘something’.  Maybe the people were saying something about the stupid stories of what happens to you in the grave.  Maybe the stupid stories were the reason he died an unbeliever.

At the end of the Hadith, he said concerning this one who was being punished: “is the man who goes out of his house in the morning and tells a lie that is so serious that it spreads all over the world”. Narrated by Bukhari
Really Buky??  Your lies spread all throughout the world, causing problems.  Quote the following instead

9:101 “And among the bedouins around you, some are hypocrites, and so are some among the people of Al‑Madinah who persist in hypocrisy; you know them not, We know them. We shall punish them twice, and thereafter they shall be brought back to a great horrible torment”

Forsaking the Quran after having learned it

In the Hadith of Samurah ibn Jundub he said: The Messenger said: “… we came across a man who was lying down, with another man standing over him, holding a big rock. He threw the rock at the man's head, smashing it. The rock rolled away, and the one who had thrown it followed it, and picked it up. By the time he came back to the man, his head had been restored to its former state. Then he (the one who had thrown the rock) did the same as he had done before. I said to my two companions, “Who are these two persons?’
‘The one whom you saw with his head being smashed with the rock, is the man who studies the Quran then he neither recites it nor acts upon it.’
How many times will they use that story?

Hypocrisy is one of the causes of the punishment in the grave

The hypocrites are those who most deserve to be punished in the grave. How can it be otherwise when they are the ones who will occupy the lowest level of Hell?
Right

Backbiting

Based on that, Bukhari included a chapter in the Book of Funerals called: “Punishment of the grave because of backbiting and urine.” Then he narrated therein the Hadith about the two graves quoted above, except that the version of al-Bukhari does not mention backbiting, rather it speaks of malicious gossip, but as was his wont, he referred to what was narrated in some versions of the hadeeth: “As for the other, he is being punished for backbiting.”
He could make up whatever he wanted.

Lying

According to the Hadith of Samurah ibn Jundub, the Prophet said: “… We came to a man who was lying flat on his back, with another man standing over him, holding an iron hook. He put the hook in the man's mouth and tore off that side of his face to the back of his neck, and he tore his nose and his eye from front to back in a similar manner. Then he turned to the other side of the man's face and did likewise. No sooner had he finished the second side but the first side was restored to its former state, then he went back and did the same thing again. Hmmm….again?

We ask Allah to grant us refuge from the torment of the grave
and I ask that they dump the grave and horrifying Hadith
.

Az Zaqqum Islamic scholar for the Infidel...and always scary

Friday Freaky Fatwa--Dead scary!

A Muslim asks a scholar

We have grown up being told that children should not go out to play at night as this is the time the Jinn and shayatan come out and that they will poses any children playing out side. Is there any basis to this?

And the scholar replies

Praise be to Allah.

Yes, a number of Hadith were narrated concerning this. For example, it is narrated from Jaabir ibn ‘Abd-Allaah that the Prophet said:

“When the wings of the night spread – keep your children in, for the devils come out at that time. Then when part of the night has passed, let them go. And close the doors and mention the name of Allah, for the shaytan does not open a closed door.

And tie up your waterskins and mention the name of Allah, and cover your vessels and mention the name of Allah, even if you only put something over them, and extinguish your lamps.”

There is fear for children at that hour, because the shayaten is usually present with them at that time, and the dhikr (remembering Allah) that would protect them is usually absent from children, and when the shayaten spread out they hang on to whatever they can hang on to. Hence there is fear for children at that time.

The reason why they spread out at night is that they are more able to move about at night than during the day, because darkness is more conducive to devil forces coming together than any other time.

The whole idea is connected to the shaytan, because he is the one who makes the mouse burn the house. End quote.
It’s not a mouse who burns down your house, it’s someone who is really pissed off at you or it was a preventable accident.  Don’t blame the mouse. And devils do not take your children, bad guys do that.

And Allah knows best

A Muslim asks a scholar

If someone dies here in Sudan, after forty days the family, including the women and children, goes to visit the grave, and opens the grave. They have seeds of corn with them which they scatter over the deceased, and I think they throw stones on the deceased. Can women visit graves?
And the scholar replies
Praise be to Allah.

This is an innovation (bid’ah) for which there is no basis in sharia. Throwing seeds, perfume and clothes into the grave are all reprehensible actions for which there is no basis.

The grave should not be opened unless there is a good reason for doing so, such as the workers forgetting their tools like shovels, so it may be opened for that reason, or if one of them has dropped something important, so the grave may be opened to retrieve it. But opening it to scatter seeds or clothes and the like is not permitted.

Women should not visit graves, because the Prophet cursed women who visit graves. That was narrated from Abu Hurria, Ibn ‘Abbaas and Hassaan ibn Thaabit.
So it is not permissible for them to visit graves, but that is prescribed for men, because the Prophet said: “Visit the graves, for they remind you of the Hereafter.”

The reason why women are forbidden to visit graves is that they are a temptation (fitnah) and they have little patience.

And Allah knows best
Allah hardly ever gets mentioned in any of these fatwas.
How many times does the Quran say not to forbid what Allah has not?  To bring forth your witnesses to prove what Allah forbid or allows.  Not to make crap up?
Anyone who’s read the Quran knows how repetitive it is, it was, after all, written in poetic form.  But really important things are mentioned over and over.  There’s a terrible doom for those who make these scholars and the Hadith of dead men, partners to Allah.

A Muslim asks a scholar

We know that women are not allowed to visit graveyards but what do you say about a woman who passes alongside the wall of the graveyard when she is on her way somewhere and she can see the graves – should she recite the du’aa’ narrated from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him), or is she not allowed to, or what should she do?.
And the scholar replies
Praise be to Allah.

There is nothing wrong with her reciting the du’aa’ narrated from the Prophet (“Al-salaamu ‘alaykum ahl al-diyaar…”) and there is no sin on her, because she is not intending to visit the graves and she has not entered the graveyard, rather she is just passing by unintentionally

And Allah knows best
Seriously, you have to challenge these Hadith worshipping nut-jobs!  You’re on the internet; you can find the Quran in any language.  If you think the Quran is a great book, read it.

A Muslim asks a scholar

I have been wondering for some time now about the condition of the grave. I wanted to know if dead people actually visit or see or feel each other whilst in the grave.
And the scholar replies
Praise be to Allah.

Yes, it is proven that the souls of the believers meet and visit one another. There are some Hadith which indicate that, as well as some of the fatwas of the scholars on this matter.

It was narrated from Abu Huraira that the Prophet said: “When the believer is dying, the angels of mercy come to him with white silk and say: ‘Come out content and with the pleasure of Allah upon you to the mercy of Allah, fragrance and a Lord Who is not angry.’

So it comes out like the best fragrance of musk. They pass him from one to another until they bring him to the gate of heaven, where they say: ‘How good is this fragrance that has come to you from the earth!’ Then the souls of the believers come to him and they rejoice more over him than any one of you rejoices when his absent loved one comes to him. They ask him: ‘What happened to So and so, what happened to So and so?’ They say: ‘Let him be, for he was in the hardship of the world.
When he says, ‘Did he not come here?’ They say: ‘He was taken to the pit of Hell.’

When the kaafir is dying, the angers of punishment come to him with sackcloth and say: ‘Come out discontent and subject to divine wrath to the punishment of Allah. So it comes out like the foulest stench of a corpse. They bring him to the gates of the earth, where they say: ‘How foul is this stench!’ Then they bring him to the souls of the kuffaar.” Narrated by al-Nasaa’i,

As the Prophet said, “Souls are troops collected together and those who got along with each other in the heaven from whence they come would have an affinity with one another (in this world) and those amongst them who opposed each other in heaven would also be divergent in the world.”

Those that are punished are too preoccupied with the torment that they are facing to visit and meet one another, but the souls that are blessed are free and are not detained, so they meet one another, visit one another and talk about what they used to do in this world and what happened to the people of this world.

So each soul will be with its friends who did similar good deeds. The soul of our Prophet Muhammad is with the highest companions. Allah says (interpretation of the meaning):

4:69 “And whoso obey Allah and the Messenger (Muhammad), then they will be in the company of those on whom Allaah has bestowed His Grace, of the Prophets, the Siddeeqoon (those followers of the Prophets who were first and foremost to believe in them, like Abu Bakr As‑Siddeeq), the martyrs, and the righteous. And how excellent these companions are!”

Actually it says this;

4:69  Whoso obeyeth Allah and the messenger, they are with those unto whom Allah hath shown favor, of the Prophets and the saints and the martyrs and the righteous. The best of company are they!
I don’t see Bakr’s name mentioned there, do you?  Did Allah forget or what?

There are Hadith which state that the dead visit one another and we are commanded to make their shrouds beautiful because of that, but none of these Hadith are reliable. For example, the Hadith of Abu Qataadah according to which the Prophet said: “Whoever takes the responsibility of preparing his brother for burial, let him make his shroud beautiful, for they visit one another in them.”

Its isnaad (chain of narrators) includes Salam ibn Ibraaheem al-Warraaq whom Ibn Mu’een and al-Dhahabi classed as a liar, as did others.
I know there are many of you who read this follow Hadith and follow scholars like these.  Do you think they hold Muhammad in the highest light or do they use him to make a mockery of the Quran and Islam?
What do you think Muhammad would say if he read these fatwas and the horrible Hadith that they are based on?

Yes, I know the Quran says to follow the messenger how else would the 7th century desert Arabs know about one God?  There wasn’t a book back then, but, there is now.  It’s called the Quran.  The Quran was the message.

And Allah knows best.

Next week will be the punishments when you are in the grave …or something like that

This is what happens when you anger Allah.
Listen to the sound....

Friday Freaky Fatwa--Squeezing Doctors and Divorce

A Muslim asks a scholar

I read a hadeeth according to which the Prophet said: “In the grave there is squeezing; and if anyone were to be saved from it, Saud ibn Mu‘aadh would have been saved from it.” Does this squeezing affect everybody, including the Prophets, the righteous, the martyrs and the siddeeqs? Is there any way to be protected from it?

And the scholar replied

Praise be to Allah.

The answer to that is that there was nothing proven concerning that in the texts of Revelation, but we have come across comments of many scholars saying that the Prophets will be exempted from squeezing. This opinion is based on the view those who say that the severity of the squeezing in the grave will vary according to the individual’s level of sin. The Prophets are protected against major sins and are protected against persisting in minor sins, so they will not be affected by the squeezing or questioning in the grave.
Saud was not a prophet…so it’s ok if he gets squeezed.

Al-Mannaawi said: The reports indicate that no one will be spared the squeezing in the grave, whether one is righteous or otherwise, but the Prophets are exempted, as was stated by the author.
and the author knows best…?

He also said: But al-Hakeem – i.e., al-Hakeem al-Tirmidhi – made an exception in the case of the Prophets and awliya’ (close friends of Allah) and was of the opinion that they will not be squeezed or questioned.
Really?  The Quran says nothing about Allah having or needing close friends.  Hakeem needs to be squeezed for telling lies.

My opinion is that the exemption in the case of the Prophets is obvious. With regard to the awliya’ it cannot be true. Have you not seen the high status of Saud ibn Mu‘aadh, and he was squeezed nevertheless.
Yes it’s true, the Jinn squeezed him until he farted.

There is no proof for the exemption of Fatima bint Qays in the Hadith/sunnah; rather the suggestion that she is exempted is based on a fabricated or very weak Hadith that was quoted by Ibn Shabbah in his book Tareekh al-Madinah. The isnaad of the Hadith includes some unknown narrators, among whom is ‘Abdullah ibn Ja‘far ibn al-Miswar ibn Makhramah, of whom Ibn Hibbaan said: He made a lot of mistakes in narration and he even narrated from trustworthy narrators things that do not resemble proven Hadiths. Therefore he deserves to be rejected.
All Hadith deserves to be rejected as they are tales, narrations and stories.  Hadith is not sacred, Hadith is not the message.  Those who follow Hadith will go to the hellfire and being squeezed will be the least of their problems.

And Allah knows best.
22:7 And verily the Hour will come: there can be no doubt about it, or about (the fact) that Allah will raise up all who are in the graves.
Interesting note; Jesus is the only prophet who is not in the grave.  Jesus was resurrected and did not die.

A Muslim asks a scholar

I am a doctor living in a western country so my work therefore requires me to see male and female patients. This means that I am often in a room alone with a male patient. Is this wrong islamically? Am I only allowed to treat females and children? I personally dont feel I am doing wrong because all patients regardless of their sex visit a doctor to be treated. Your views would be much valued.

And the scholar replied

Praise be to Allah.

Female doctors must treat only women and male doctors must treat only men, except in cases of extreme necessity, if men are suffering a disease for which there is no male doctor available, in which case it is o.k. Allah says (interpretation of the meaning):
6:119 ‘He has explained to you in detail what is forbidden to you, except under compulsion of necessity’
But nowhere in the Quran will you find that it is forbidden for women to treat a male patient.  The Quran trusts that you will behave righteously, Hadith does not.  And it seems the scholars are perverts who shouldn’t be trusted at all.

Hence you should limit your work to treating women and children as you mentioned, and seek reward for this work with Allah. Whoever gives up a thing for the sake of Allah, Allah will compensate him with something better than that.
Adding to what I just wrote, seems the scholars are also lousy at reading as the questioner was a female and the scholar just addressed her as a ‘him’.  Follow the Quran and dump the scholars.

And Allah knows best
Believe it or not

A Muslim asks a scholar

I was married to a woman and had a son from her, then there were some differences between me and her and I divorced her. During the ‘iddah, there was an argument between me and her brother, and I swore an oath and said: “If So and so does not come back to my house before Fajr, then she is thrice-divorced.” But her brother did not let her, so she did not come back.
At that time I had not taken her back (formally, as a wife). After a short while I sought a fatwa and was told that it was permissible for me to take her back but I did not ask whether the second talaaq had taken place or not.
Two years later there were major problems in which her family played a major role, and I divorced her, but during the ‘iddah I met her and there happened between us is that which happens between husband and wife.
I asked one of the scholars working in the court in my city and he gave me a fatwa in writing stating that the divorce that I did not ask about did not count as such, because a divorce issued to an already-divorced woman does not count, and my taking her back by means of intercourse was valid, and I also asked two friends to testify that I had taken her back and told my wife about that.
But I did not tell her family because of the severity of the discord in the family. My family got angry with me when they found out that I had taken her back.
But I asked her to bear that with patience and to let the taking back continue in secret until I was able to become independent of my family. After one year, during which I used to meet with her in secret and we would sometimes do what husbands and wives do.
Allah blessed me with the opportunity to travel abroad to complete my studies. I got in touch with her ten days before I was due to travel and told her that Allah had given us a solution to our problem. I asked her to wait for one or two months, and I would tell her how Allah had granted me a way out, then I left and did not tell her.
One week after I left, my family suddenly told me that my ex-wife (or so they thought) had got married! I became very distressed and I did not know what to do, as I was abroad and I did not believe it.
I tried to contact my wife and she told me that she thought that I was deceiving her all that time and that I had betrayed her, because she knew that the period of travel would not be less than five years, and she claimed that she had consulted a scholar on the radio as to whether intercourse with the wife without the intention of taking her back was regarded as taking her back or not, and he told her that the intention was essential.
I asked for advice and was told that I had the right to refer the matter to court to seek a separation, or to divorce her, so long as I told her so that she could observe the iddah following divorce.
Please note that they married her to someone else without taking the divorce papers from me, and that is what I intended to tell them when they asked me about the divorce papers.
And the scholar replied

Praise be to Allah.

You are an asshole and she was wise to find another husband…. yeah, they didn’t say that.

In general terms, there are differences of opinion among the scholars concerning many cases of divorce. Whatever the husband knows of the rulings before he utters the words of divorce, he should adhere to what he knows, and whatever he does not know about, if he asks someone whose religious commitment and knowledge he trusts, then he has to follow the fatwa he issues, and it is not permissible for him to move from one scholar to another in order to find another fatwa.
I think fatwas are like farts.  They only benefit the one who releases the fart.

Based on this, the fact that your wife says that she consulted one of the scholars who gave her a fatwa saying that your taking her back did not count as such because you had intercourse without the intention of taking her back is of no significance, because you consulted someone and told her of the fatwa and brought witnesses to that, thus the taking back was done in the proper manner, and there is no way for your wife to disagree with that.
Obviously she disagreed and I’m guessing sex with him wasn’t so good.

Telling your family and your wife’s family is not a condition of taking her back, and in fact it is not a condition that the wife tell them herself. A husband may take back his revocably-divorced wife (first or second talaaq) even if she is far away from him, and it is not a condition that she be told or even agree to it.
That information is total camel shit.

Allah says (interpretation of the meaning): 2:228 “And their husbands have the better right to take them back in that period, if they wish for reconciliation”
And just who do the scholars believe are included in the word THEY?  Obviously the wife is included in the word THEY.

The scholars are unanimously agreed that if a free man divorces his free wife, and he had consummated the marriage with her, and it is a first or second talaaq, then he has more right to take her back so long as the ‘iddah has not ended, even if the wife disagrees.
That’s not what the Quran says, but that’s the power the male scholars want to give to weak men who can’t control their anger.

But it would have been better to tell her family that you had taken back your wife back. The fact that you did not tell her may have caused them to do this terrible evil, which is marrying her to someone else, thinking that your divorce and your absence meant that their daughter was divorced fully and was able to remarry.
Time to dump the 7th century traditions.  The Quran allows women to make their own choices in marriage.

Allah has enjoined bringing witnesses to taking back a wife in the verse (interpretation of the meaning): 65:2 “And take as witness two just persons from among you so as to put an end to disputes, inform people and alert the heedless to the number of divorces.
But as this was all done in secret, the witnesses cannot be relied on.

The fuqaha’ indicated that if there are no witnesses to the taking-back, that may result in disputes and arguments as to whether the wife has been taken back or not, and the woman may end up marrying another man, thinking that she has not been taken back (by the first husband).
And that’s what happened.

But even if he does not tell her, the taking-back is still valid, because it is the continuation of an existing marriage and is not the initiation of a new one and the husband is exercising his rights, and for a man to exercise his right he does not need to inform others.
And the scholar on the radio disagreed and the idiot did leave her and at the end of the day didn’t really deserver her.

Now what you must do is refer the matter to the sharia court, and present the written fatwa from this scholar, and bring the two witnesses, to prove that you had in fact taken your wife back.
But that would go against the Quran as it says 65;2 to part on equitable terms.  When he left her he thought that was equitable she agreed and married someone else.

We should point out that if you do not want to take her back, it is not permissible for you to keep quiet about the matter. After setting things straight, you can divorce her if you wish, but you should understand that if you keep quiet, her second marriage will remain invalid, and this is a serious evil.
Stupid scholars.  The Quran says he can only re-marry her if she marries another man and then divorces him.  Doesn’t say she has to divorce husband number 2 to marry fool number one.

We ask Allah to help you to do that which pleases Him and to make good easy for you.
Seems like Allah helped her to do that which pleased her :D

And Allah knows best.
Trust in that!

Next week there will be other fatwas on Tales of the Crypt!

Friday Freaky Fatwa-Camel urine, miracle pee

A Muslim asks a scholar

I hope that you can provide me with a scientific answer – if such knowledge is available – about the hadeeth about drinking camel’s urine. May Allah reward you.

And the scholar replies
Praise be to Allah.

The Hadith referred to by the questioner is a reliable -Bukhari Hadith, in which it says that some people came to Madena and fell sick. The Prophet told them to drink the milk and urine of camels, and they recovered and grew fat. In the story it also says that they apostatized and killed the camel-herder, then the Muslims caught them and executed them.
did it piss them off?

With regard to the health benefits of drinking the milk and urine of camels, they are many, and they are well known to the earlier generations of medical science and they have been proven by modern scientific research.
But only in Saudi Arabia

In an article by Dr Ahlaam al-‘Awadi, which was published in al-Da’wah magazine, 15 April 2004 CE, about the diseases which can be treated with camel’s milk, as proven by experience, it says that there are many benefits in camel’s milk. There follows some of what was said in the article by Dr. Ahlaam:

Camel’s urine is efficacious in the treatment of skin diseases such as ringworm, tinea and abscesses, sores that may appear on the body and hair, and dry and wet ulcers.
I couldn’t find anything to verify this other than Islamic sites.

In the al-Jazeerah newspaper there is a quotation from the book Al-Ibl ‘The camel: secrets and wonders’ by Darmaan ibn ‘Abd al-‘Azeez Aal Darmaan and Sanad ibn Mutlaq al-Subay’i:

As for camel’s urine, the book suggests that it has numerous uses which are beneficial for man. This is indicated by the Prophetic texts and confirmed by modern science.  Scientific experiments have proven that camel’s urine has a lethal effect on the germs that cause many diseases.
Not sure about that, but I’ll bet it has lethal effects on your social life

In the Emirati newspaper 5 February 2006) it says:

One of the most important things for which camels are raised is their milk, which is efficacious in treating many illnesses, including hepatitis, and the digestive system in general, various types of cancer and other diseases.
Really?  Maybe she didn’t look at this

And Allah knows best

A Muslim asks a scholar

What are the benefits of camel urine?

And the scholar replies

Praise be to allah

Among the uses of camel’s urine, many women use it to wash their hair, to make it longer, and to make it lighter and more lustrous.
Recently the television network
al-Arabiya reported that Hair salons commonly use camel urine as a tonic and it sells for as much as $4.00 for one litre. Not only is it used as the hair tonic but some Arab researchers even say that drinking it is good for your liver; a claim which was denied by the University of Sanaa in Yemen.

Camel’s urine is also efficacious in the treatment of swelling of the liver and other diseases such as abscesses, sores that appear on the body and toothache, and for washing eyes.
No need to come to the west for medical training, right?

Prof. Dr. ‘Abd al-Fattaah Mahmoud Idrees says: With regard to the benefits of camel’s urine in treating disease, Ibn Seena said in his Qanoon:
The most beneficial of urine is the urine of the Bedouin camels known as najeeb. Camel’s urine is beneficial in treating a pain in the heart caused by anger and so on.
Well then, I don’t think enough of them are drinking the pee.

Camel’s urine, especially the urine of a young she-camel – is used as a cleansing substance to wash wounds and sores, to make the hair grow, to strengthen and thicken it and to prevent it falling out, and it is used to treat diseases of the scalp and dandruff.
Again, the only information I could find was from Saudi doctors.

November 1998 CE, entitled A Study of the Chemical Composition and Some Medical Uses of the Urine of Arabian Camels, Muhammad Awhaaj says:

Laboratory tests indicate that camel’s urine contains high levels of potassium, albuminous proteins, and small amounts of uric acid, sodium and creatine.

In this study, he explained that what prompted him to study the medicinal properties of camel’s urine was what he had seen of some tribesmen drinking this urine whenever they suffered digestion problems. He sought the help of some doctors in studying camel’s urine. They brought a number of patients and prescribed this urine for them, for a period of two months. Their bodies recovered from what they had been suffering from, which proves the efficacy of camel’s urine in treating some diseases of the digestive system.
Hmm…maybe the digest problems were caused by eating camel meat.

It brought about an improvement in the condition of twenty-five patients who used camel’s urine for dropsy, without disrupting their potassium levels. Two of them were cured of liver pain, and their liver function was restored to normal levels, as well as the tissue of the liver being improved.

The experiment began by giving each patient a daily dose of camel’s urine mixed with camel’s milk to make it palatable. Fifteen days after the beginning of the experiment, the patients’ stomachs grew smaller and went back to their normal size.
Is there a doctor in the house?  I’d like to know if this is actually true.

He said that he examined the patients’ livers with ultrasound before the study began, and he found out that the livers of fifteen out of the twenty-five were in a cirrhotic state, and some of them had developed cirrhosis of the liver. All of the patients responded to treatment with camel’s urine, and some of them continued, by their own choice, to drink a dose of camel’s urine every day for a further two months. At the end of that time, they were all found to have been cured of cirrhosis of the liver. He said: Camel’s urine contains a large amount of potassium, as well as albumen and magnesium, because the camel only drinks four times during the summer and once during the winter, which makes it retain water in its body so as to preserve the sodium, and the sodium causes it not to urinate a great deal, because it keeps the water in its body.

He explained that dropsy results from a deficiency of albumen or potassium, and the urine of camels in rich in both of these.
In years gone by, a person might have been said to have dropsy. Today one would be more descriptive and specify the cause. Thus, the person might have
edema due to congestive heart failure.

Dr. Ahlaam said:

Camel’s urine contains a number of healing factors such as antibiotics (bacteria that are present in it, salts and urea). The camel possesses an immune system that is highly equipped to combat funguses, bacteria and viruses, because it contains antibodies.

It is a remedy for low libido, and it aids in bone growth in children and in strengthening the heart muscles. It may be used as a cleansing agent for cleaning wounds and sores, especially the urine of young she-camels.

It also helps the hair to grow and become strong and thick, and it helps to prevent hair loss and baldness, and can be used to treat dandruff. Camel’s urine may also be used to combat disease by using bacteria extracted from it. It was used to treat a girl who was suffering from an infection behind the ear, that was accompanied by pus weeping from it and painful cracks and sores. It was also used to treat a girl who was unable to extend the fingers of her hands because of the presence of so many cracks and sores, and whose face was almost black with pimples. Dr. Ahlaam said:

Dr. Rahmah al-‘Ulyaani, who is also from Saudi Arabia, carried out tests on rabbits infected with bacteria in the colon. She treated each group of rabbits with a different kind of medicine, including camel’s urine. There was a noticeable regression in the rabbits that were treated with other medicines, except for camel’s urine, which brought about a clear improvement. Majallat al-Jundi al-Muslim, issue no. 1 January 2005 CE.

Allah calls upon us to ponder the creation of the camel, as He says (interpretation of the meaning):
88:17 “Do they not look at the camels, how they are created?”

This pondering is not limited to the outward form of the camel, or even to the inner workings of its body, rather it also includes that which we have discussed here, which is the benefits of the urine and milk of the camel. Modern scientific research is still discovering for us many of the wonders of this creature.

And Allah knows best.
which is why Allah invented the west
