'.....it may be advantageous for Muslims to work in these armies so as to learn their secrets and be aware of their potential evil. In other words, if working in these armies could be of benefit, it may be permissible...'
This fatwa came from a world wide fatwa data base. Yes, there really is such a thing. The rest of this fatwa is below along with supporting fatwa's that also tell Mulims not to salute the Flag.
Non Muslims reading these fatwa’s will be justifiably outraged. You simply can not give out dangerous and illegal fatwa’s and not expect disastrous results.
9:107 And there are those who put up a mosque by way of mischief and infidelity - to disunite the Believers - and in preparation for one who warred against Allah and His Messenger aforetime. They will indeed swear that their intention is nothing but good; But Allah doth declare that they are certainly liars.

Praise be to Allaah.
Military matters are problematic, because they involve helping these kuffaar to wage war against the Muslims or those who have entered into a treaty with the Muslims.
If no such thing is involved, it may be advantageous for Muslims to work in these armies so as to learn their secrets and be aware of their potential evil. In other words, if working in these armies could be of benefit, it may be permissible , otherwise it is not allowed.”

The advice is to tell Muslims to enlist in the Military so they can steal Military secrets then give them to the enemy. This is insane, illegal and dangerous to our Military. Is it their intent to put Military personal at risk? Not to trust a Muslim in uniform?
This is a serious issue. For a Muslim who is already in the Military, reading this fatwa could lead to another Fort Hood shooting, which was committed by a confused Muslim who killed 13 people, all Non Muslims.
And there is reason for me to believe that this fatwa or one similar-- influenced this killer.

I work in the army of a non-Muslim state, and there are wars between them and the Muslims. What is the ruling if they send me with a division of this army to wage war against the Muslims? As a Muslim, my feelings are that I never want to fight against Muslims in any war. What should I do? What is the ruling if I go…?
And the scholar replies
Praise be to Allaah.
If you are sent to wage war against the Muslims, then it is not permissible for you to take part at all. Helping the kaafirs against the Muslims is a form of major kufr which puts one beyond the pale of Islam. Allaah says concerning one who supports the mushrikeen (interpretation of the meaning):
“And if any amongst you takes them (as Awliyaa’ friends), then surely, he is one of them” Quran 5:51
With regard to how you may get out of this situation, and what excuse you can give to get out of this dilemma if it happens, we ask Allaah to help you, and we suggest that you consult some Muslims who have relevant knowledge or experience.
We want to emphasize to you the necessity of finding other employment and of leaving service in the army of the kaafirs, because that implies helping them, strengthening them and increasing the numbers of their fighters and supporters
– unless your work can bring some benefits to the Muslims, such as giving information and secrets of the kaafirs to the Muslims so as to help the Muslims,
or if your work is purely da’wah, such as giving khutbahs and leading prayers for the Muslims in the kaafir army whilst also advising them to avoid any work that will strengthen the kaafirs.
We ask Allaah to keep you safe from temptation and to give you a good end in this world and in the Hereafter.

Standing while saluting the flag does not change your religion…it’s a flag!
Muslims come to these scholars for guidance and instead of giving them useful advice, they prepare them for life in the 7th century.....or prison.

The scholars of the Standing Committee were asked: Is it permissible to stand to show respect to any national anthem or flag?
It is not permissible for the Muslim to stand out of respect for any national anthem or flag, rather this is a reprehensible innovation which was not known at the time of the Messenger of Allaah or at the time of the Rightly-Guided Caliphs, and it is contrary to perfect Tawheed and sincere veneration of Allaah alone.
It is also a means that leads to shirk and is an imitation of the kuffaar in their reprehensible customs, and following them in their exaggeration about their presidents and in their ceremonies. This fatwa furthers the stereotype of Muslims as arrogant, disruptive, deceptive, violent and disrespectful and backward.
You don’t know how many Muslim will be struck with S.J.S. (Sudden Jihad Syndrome) because of these fatwa’s.
But I want these Islamic scholars to be held accountable.
And by the way, Computers weren’t known at time of the Rightly Guided Caliphs, either… (most of who were murdered)...and many Muslims are oppressed by their own leaders, not by us.
4:75 And why should ye not fight in the cause of Allah and of those who, being weak, are ill-treated and oppressed- Men, women, and children, whose cry is: "Our Lord! Rescue us from this town, whose people are oppressors; and raise for us from thee one who will protect; and raise for us from thee one who will help!"

We put this question to Shaykh Muhammad ibn Saalih al-‘Uthaymeen, may Allaah preserve him, with whom we had a conversation which is summarized below:
**Now-- this is the whole conversation between a curious Muslim and the scholar. Read it carefully.
“This questioner says, 'I work in a place where the soldiers are not fighting the Muslims. But it is possible that some of the army may be fighting them in other places, and it is possible that we may be involved in such fighting in the future, but the military bases where I work now are not involved in fighting against the Muslims.’
Shaykh: “But is this nation (in which this army is) one of those who are fighting the Muslims?”
“The questioner is working for the American army, he is a Muslim working in America.”
Shaykh: “Allaah, may He be glorified and exalted, says (interpretation of the meaning):
‘Allaah does not forbid you to deal justly and kindly with those who fought not against you on account of religion and did not drive you out of your homes. Verily, Allaah loves those who deal with equity.’ Quran 60:8.”
- “And what if they are not driving us out of our homes, but they are helping others to do so, as mentioned in the next aayah?”
Shaykh: “ ‘It is only as regards those who fought you on account of religion, and have driven you out of your homes, and helped to drive you out, that Allaah forbids you to befriend them…’ [Quran 60:9 – interpretation of the meaning].”
- “So if it is clear to him that these people are helping to drive us out of our homes, for example, would working for them for a salary come under the just and kind treatment mentioned in the aayah?”
Shaykh: “No doubt it does come under that heading.”
- “Even if you are working for money and not as a volunteer?”
Shaykh: “Yes, but they are benefitting from it.”
- “So how may we sum up your answer?”
Shaykh: “This is not permissible unless the nation in whose army he is working is not fighting the Muslims.”
- “And not driving them out of their homes or helping others to do so?”
Shaykh: “Yes.”

Is this sheikh being driven out of his home in this conversation? No. Was the home of the Muslim questioner being driven out of his home? No. Are they being driven out of their homes due to their religion? No. But do you notice how the word 'our' was changed to 'their' to promote an agenda?
5:13 Then, for having broken their solemn pledge, We rejected them and caused their hearts to harden-[so that now] they distort the meaning of the words, taking them out of their context; and they have forgotten much of what they had been told to bear in mind; and from all but a few of them thou wilt always experience treachery. But pardon them, and forbear: verily, God loves the doers of good.
I don't think we should pardon them. I think these scholars should be looking at criminal charges.
When Muslims live in Non Muslim lands they find many good Christians and Jews who pray and give charity and do good deeds, even to Muslims, hiring them for Military positions that pay well and offer great benefits.
33:35 For Muslim men and women,- for believing men and women, for devout men and women, for true men and women, for men and women who are patient and constant, for men and women who humble themselves, for men and women who give in charity, for men and women who fast (and deny themselves), for men and women who guard their chastity, and for men and women who engage much in Allah's praise,- for them has Allah prepared forgiveness and great reward
There are a lot of Non Muslims on that list. Living in non Muslim lands is a charity given to Muslims and Allah loves those who are charitable. Western countries are the most generous when it comes to charity.
5:69 Those who believe (in the Qur'an), those who follow the Jewish (scriptures), and the Sabians and the Christians,- any who believe in Allah and the Last Day, and work righteousness,- on them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve
41:34 The good deed and the evil deed are not alike. Repel the evil deed with one which is better, then lo! he, between whom and thee there was enmity (will become) as though he was a bosom friend60:7 It may be that Allah will ordain love between you and those of them with whom ye are at enmity. Allah is Mighty, and Allah is Forgiving, Merciful
But these scholars ONLY tell Muslims that Christians and Jews are NOT to be trusted. I pulled out verses that could have--should have been used. These next few verses are amusing.
9:97 The Arabs of the desert are the worst in Unbelief and hypocrisy, and most fitted to be in ignorance of the command which Allah hath sent down to His Messenger. But Allah is All-knowing, All-Wise
9:101 Certain of the desert arabs round about you are hypocrites, as well as (desert arabs) among the Medina folk: they are obstinate in hypocrisy: thou knowest them not: We know them: twice shall We punish them: and in addition shall they be sent to a grievous penalty.
Well, Allah can punish them twice, but I think they should be punished everytime they issue a fatwa that puts our Military men and women in harms way.
Islamic scholars issue fatwas and pass them on to the imams and then-- to Muslims. I’ve just listed a few of the dangerous fatwa’s specific to the Military. But there are thousands of others, all bad. They have to go.
I sent these so called scholars an email similar to this post and I did use the Quran as my stick. Beat them with their own texts. I demanded that they remove all fatwas that could endanger our Military personel and to quit making muslims stupid. Obviously, they need new scholars to show that Islam does not need to be a religion for the mentally challenged.
I’m issuing a fatwa now. There will be no more fatwa’s that make Muslims look stupid, act violent or cause suspicion or mischief. They will be reported to the authorities.
2:11-12 "When it is said to them: "Make not mischief on the earth," they say: "Why, we only Want to make peace!" Of a surety, they are the ones who make mischief, but they realise (it) not."
But they realize (it) not.
2:224 And make not Allah's name an excuse in your oaths against doing good, or acting rightly, or making peace between persons; for Allah is One Who heareth and knoweth all things..
I left in these particular verses to show that these scholars could have issued a fatwa that would not put anyone in danger. If Muslims feel compelled to follow the Quran, they can follow the more acceptable messages that lead to peace. But these scholars seem to be looking for a fight, a challenge. I'm up for it.
