Usama Bin Ladden. Where his name came from

The United States of America initiated an operation that resulted in the death of the world’s most wanted terrorist, Usama Bin Ladden and that made me very happy.  I thought some of you might be interested in his name, Usama.  His name is found in the Hadith as he narrated several that were collected 200 years after he died.  This is who Usama Bin Ladden is named after and probably who he wanted to imitate.

His full name was Usama bin Zaid, his father was a freed slave of Muhammad and was considered almost a grandson, and loved by Muhammad.  When he was only twenty years of age, he was appointed by Muhammad as the commander of the army which later became the first Muslim army to defeat the Romans in battle, as well as the conquests of the Egyptian and Syrian lands.

But not everyone
liked him...

The Prophet appointed Usama as the commander of the troops to be sent to Syria. The Muslims spoke about Usama unfavorably . The Prophet said, "I have been informed that you spoke about Usama. Let it be known that he is the most beloved of all people to me."

According to Bukhari who said Abu Huraira said that his Hadith established the prayer ritual;

A man entered the mosque while Allah's Apostle was sitting in one side of the mosque. The man prayed, came, and greeted the Prophet. Allah's Apostle said to him, "Wa 'Alaikas Salam (returned his greeting). Go back and pray as you have not prayed properly." The man returned, repeated his prayer, came back and greeted the Prophet. The Prophet said, "Wa alaika-s-Salam (returned his greeting). Go back and pray again as you have not prayed properly."

The man said at the second or third time, "O Allah's Apostle! Kindly teach me how to pray". The Prophet said, "When you stand for prayer, perform ablution properly and then face the Qibla and say Takbir (Allahu-Akbar), and then recite what you know from the Qur'an, and then bow with calmness till you feel at ease then rise from bowing, till you stand straight, and then prostrate calmly (and remain in prostration) till you feel at ease, and then raise (your head) and sit with calmness till you feel at ease and then prostrate with calmness (and remain in prostration) till you feel at ease, and then raise (your head) and sit with calmness till you feel at ease in the sitting position, and do likewise in whole of your prayer." And Abu Usama added, "Till you stand straight."
Understand that this is how Muhammad and/or Usama wanted the desert Arabs to pray.  The Quran doesn’t go into any of this and is actually cool on prayer, do it twice a day, be clean and not drunk, that’s about it.

Usama liked to tell women this Hadith.  Many of today’s Usama’s and Muhammad’s believe this to be true and repeat this Hadith often, way too often.

Narrated Usama
The Prophet said, "I stood at the gate of Paradise and saw that the majority of the people who had entered it were poor people, while the rich were forbidden (to enter along with the poor, because they were waiting the reckoning of their accounts), but the people of the Fire had been ordered to be driven to the Fire. And I stood at the gate of the Fire and found that the majority of the people entering it were women."
Either Usama never read the Quran or preferred to tell women that story instead of what the Quran says about who will be in the hellfire, the Jinn and men will fill the hellfire.  As the feeder of the dwellers of hellfire I suggest you believe the Quran over this stupid Hadith.  Or this next one….

Narrated Usama bin Zaid
The Prophet said, "After me I have not left any affliction more harmful to men than women."
I think everyone is familiar with that bad Hadith.  But how about this next one….

Narrated Usama bin Zaid

Once the Prophet stood over one of the high buildings of Medina and then said to the people, "Do you see what I see?" They said, "No." He said, "I see afflictions falling among your houses as rain drops fall."
So I ask, which Hadith has proven to be truthful?

Narrated Usama bin Zaid
Allah's Apostle sent us to fight against Al-Huraqa of Juhaina. We reached those people in the morning and defeated them. A man from the Ansar and I chased one of their men and when we attacked him, he said, "None has the right to be worshipped but Allah."
The Ansari refrained from killing him but I stabbed him with my spear till I killed him.
When we reached Medina, this news reached the Prophet. He said to me, "O Usama! You killed him after he had said, 'None has the right to be worshipped but Allah?"  I said, "O Allah's Apostle! He said so in order to save himself."
The Prophet said, "You killed him after he had said, 'None has the right to be worshipped but Allah."  The Prophet kept on repeating that statement till I wished I had not been a Muslim before that day.

I dedicate this to the amazing Navy Seals.  Seal.  They won’t be the last :D  that’s only funny if you read my last blog…ha
I hope you found today’s blog interesting.
